I'm Eating Food!

And I LOVE it. We started Ashley on rice cereal last month and the four-month old gave it rather mixed reviews, sometimes devouring as if there wasn't enough bland, lukewarm gruel to sate her appetite and sometimes making that "eww, this is disgusting, why are you feeding me bland, lukewarm gruel" face

You know the face.

Now, here at the end of February, she basically stares down everything you put anywhere near your mouth and starts drooling. If she's being held at dinner time, she's now grabbing arms and trying to redirect food from our mouths to hers.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I realize that this post is a little late for the holiday but Happy Valentine's Day! It also happened to be Ashley's 5 Month mark, so our holiday picture is her photo with Lion-O. Her official stats this month are:

More active: yes
Weight: about 16 lbs.
Ashley also has begun to sit up very well and has started getting grabby with things and putting them in her mouth. She's especially fond of the ABC's (she did this all by herself):
