lollipops are great for sore ears

Saturday Ashley turned 11 months old and we took the customary trip to the mall to get her ears pierced. The lady who pierced them was fast. I could hardly take a picture and completely missed the first ear. Ashley cried until she got her lollipop and then was more interested in it. Rachel loves the fact that her and Ashley match.
Blissfully unaware of whats to come

Marking the spots

Ouch it hurts

Someone get her a lollipop

Ahh that's better

Her new accessories

11 month old

New things this past month.

I can stand up all by myself, so now I can walk.
I enjoy petting Duchess.
I'd rather drink from a sippy cup then nurse.
I want to use forks and spoons, not just my fingers.
If anyone sits to read they better not leave me out.
I love to dance to music.
I enjoy taking things out and putting them back.
I vrooom when I drive cars.
I love to be chased.
I give kisses.

Officially a walker

How much little hair does it take to put in a bow?

Ashley finally has enough hair for 1 tiny pony tail.

Learning to draw

Rachel isn't the only one who loves the arts.

Ashley, who never wants to be left out of anything, has decided she's big enough to start "drawing".

I'm certainly grateful to Crayola for the invention of Color Wonder markers and paper.

Being able to sit at the table and use the big girl markers has been making her very happy.

We seem to have one slight problem...she still likes to put them in her mouth and when we take them away she's no longer happy.

Hopefully, this will end soon and we'll have hours of artful entertainment that everyone can enjoy together.

Gotten a new tooth
Stood up all by myself
Slept more consistently without waking up at 3am!
Lead music when instruments are playing
Bounce when people are singing

First Steps!

So this post is way late but Ashley took her first steps June 28th! We've tried to get it on film but she loses interest in walking for playing with the camera. She has since taken up to 5 steps to mommy or daddy or even to Rachel this morning. She hasn't learned how to stand up with out pulling up on something, but once she does you better watch out because she's going to be on the move. I know I'll regret this later, but I can't wait.
